Capsule Geology

The Wo 7 showing is located on Rockyrun Creek, 2.5 kilometres south of Mount Moriarty, about 27 kilometres southeast of Port Alberni.

Early to Middle Jurassic Island Intrusions are cut by granite porphyry of the Tertiary Mount Washington Intrusive Suite (Personal Communication - N. Massey, May 1990).

A shear zone in the younger intrusives contain calcite veinlets with sphalerite, pyrite, chalcopyrite and magnetite.

From 1980 through 1987, Canamin Resources completed various exploration programs in the area. These included geological mapping, geochemical sampling, geophysical surveys and diamond drilling.
